What's New in VantaTrader
We've shipped a significant update to the VantaTrader platform based on feedback from our trading community. Here's everything that's changed.
Charting Improvements
New timeframes: We've added M1 and M5 timeframes for scalpers, in addition to the existing M15, M30, H1, H4, D1, and W1. You can now select your preferred timeframe directly from the chart toolbar.
Candlestick and line mode: Toggle between candlestick and line chart modes using the chart type button in the top toolbar.
Real-time candle updates: Charts now update tick-by-tick from the Finnhub price feed. The current candle updates in real time — you no longer need to wait for the candle to close to see the latest price action.
Watchlist Redesign
The watchlist has been rebuilt for speed:
- Faster search: Type any symbol, pair, or asset name to search across all 100+ instruments. Results appear instantly.
- Add up to 8 instruments to your watchlist for quick switching
- Remove with hover: Hover over any watchlist item to reveal the remove button
- Live bid/ask: Watchlist now shows ask price and percentage change for each instrument
Order Panel Enhancements
Margin calculator: The order panel now shows real-time margin requirement, contract value, and pip value for the selected instrument and lot size. A colour-coded margin bar indicates your current margin usage.
Confirmation dialog: A new order confirmation modal shows all trade details before submission, including a CFD risk disclaimer. This gives you a final review before any position is opened.
Performance
Order execution is now significantly faster — target latency from button click to position opened is under 200ms on a standard broadband connection.
Coming Soon
We're working on:
- Price alerts (notify when price crosses a level)
- One-click trading mode (skip confirmation dialog)
- Chart drawing tools (trendlines, horizontal levels, Fibonacci)
- Multi-account switching
